And Free Speech?
NRA: Gun Blogs, Videos, Web Forums Threatened by New Obama Regulation
From the article:
Commonly used and unregulated internet discussions and videos about guns and ammo could be closed down under rules proposed by the State Department, amounting to a “gag order on firearm-related speech,” the National Rifle Association is warning.
In updating regulations governing international arms sales, State is demanding that anyone who puts technical details about arms and ammo on the web first get the OK from the federal government — or face a fine of up to $1 million and 20 years in jail.
Oh, but no the government is not coming after your guns (sarcasm). Or, free speech for that matter.
Personally, I don’t know if I have ever seen a penalty for anything with a fine up to a million dollars and 20 years. All for sharing someone’s expertise on guns or, just discussing anything about guns. Seriously?
Wouldn’t that be called hypocrisy? Aren’t government officials protected by the very thing they would like to regulate to death?
I think government officials should have to justify why they need hired guns to protect them at the taxpayer’s expense. I can no longer take their word for it.
If fact, I think most taxpayer’s might be just fine with government officials footing their own bill.
