What’s Up Prof?

Hi Friends,

This is a new series with questions and answers with Walter Veith and Martin Smith. I’ve watched one or, two of them. This one caught my eye today and I thought I would share it with you. As in my usual fashion I started to watch it and promptly fell asleep. This of course is a very serious subject. I intend on going back in and watching it to completion.

I have believed since I began this website that the Lord is due to come back in my lifetime. Should I live that long. Hopefully so.

I hope you are enjoying your Sabbath day.

I wanted to add something here. I have seen absolute miracles of the Lord’s doing since this Corona virus has began. I just knew in my heart that there would be some good to come of it. Well enjoy the video, friends.

Good Morning Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I have added a link to a free download for the Great Controversy. It’s an audio version. It’s down almost to the bottom in categories. Since it’s a download you may? be able to download it to a flashdrive and listen to it in your car as you go about your day. I hope so. Or, download it to a flashdrive to be given as a gift to a friend. Just remember to wrap it. It’s more precious to the receiver that way.

New Link

I decided to add the devotional book Maranatha to the list of links to the right. All the way at the bottom. I have not read it through personally. Yet. But if the following is any indication, it will be so encouraging to the heart of those people who long for Jesus to return. Including me. Oh Happy Day!

From Maranatha – “The doctrine of the second advent is the very keynote of the sacred Scriptures,” Declared the author of the inspired messages selected for this devotional volume. “About his coming cluster the glories of that ‘restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.’ Acts 3:21. Then the long-continued rule of evil shall be broken; ‘the kingdoms of this world’ will become ‘the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall Reign for Ever and Ever.’ Revelation 11:15.”—The Great Controversy, 299-301.

Friends,

I hate to admit this but… when Jaime Jorge visited my local church I didn’t take the opportunity to speak with him. Now, of course, I could have kicked myself later. So in lieu of missing out on talking to him in person I wrote him. I don’t think I need to tell you that he’s a busy man, but he took the time to write me back. Nice huh?

May I suggest that should you should be able to see him in person please take the time to speak with him. He’s really a nice guy. And the things he is doing for the Lord through his ministry in music is wonderful. It’s inspiring  to me.

Now, I love to hear people talk about the Lord. Don’t you? That is why when I found this next video I knew you would like it.

I hope you are enjoying your Sabbath day.

What a great story of how the Lord can guide a person throughout their life. And… do absolutely amazing things. Spreading the gospel through beautiful music.

Friends,

Every once in a while I like to remind people that the videos from youtube are downloadable to your computer. Not only that… but they can be put on a flash drive and shared.

I’m thinking “All About Jesus” would be a great series to download and give as a gift. I’m so grateful that my brother in Christ shared this wonderful series with our church family. Thank you, John.

One day this information may not be available. We know the times that we are living in. Or, are hopefully are aware.

I hope you have a wonderful Sabbath evening.

Friends,

Since I goofed (surprise, surprise) and did not put up one in the series of “The Consistency of God” this past Wednesday, I will put up another tomorrow. Tomorrows video is the last in the series.

Sorry about that.

Update

January25

Friends,

I wanted to give you an update on my son, Peter.

He is doing considerably better. From what I  gather from my daughter-in-law, he was improving enough to take the tubing out that the doctor’s had placed in him. That was last night and today he is improving even more. I am thankful, that though we are many miles apart that we are able to stay in contact and I know what is going on at any given moment. That is a blessing.

I have said many prayer’s with tears over the last couple of days. I’m not ashamed of that because I love my children (though they are grown) dearly. That never stops.

There are times in life when there is nothing more to done in a situation than prayer. Of course, we should always start with prayer and go boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Wonderful words. I claimed the promises from the Bible. And another of those promises is Romans 8:28 ESV  And we know…that for those…who love God…”all things” work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

The last couple of days I have thought of God’s own dear son…that…while we were yet sinner’s Christ died for us. That’s amazing love. I am so thankful to God for his priceless gift.

For those of you who prayed for Peter, I thank you from my heart. Please continue to keep him in your prayer’s for his full recovery. Thank you.

And thank you Lord, for answering and continuing to answer prayer as Peter heals.

I have put in the “links” way at the bottom, the link for the audio on Evangelism. I thought it might make it easier to find if you want to listen to a little bit each day.

Update

November10

Well Friends…I did it again. Ablazing Grace didn’t get posted on Wednesday. It was supposed to be. It’s up now (Nov. 9th, please scroll down to find it).

So, that I will not end up in this same position again…I scheduled the rest of the series this morning. Whew. (It takes a lot of focus to do this.) I guess I could  tell you when it will end? Or, maybe not? Just kidding, lol…the third Wednesday of February is the last one of this series.

My biggest problem when I’m scheduling…is listening while I’m scheduling. I get so involved in what I’m hearing it’s difficult to keep scheduling. In any case, for the rest of this series you won’t have to wonder if it will show up on Wednesdays…it will.

I hope you are having a blessed day. It’s a beautiful, chilly November day where I’m at.

Thank you for continuing to come to my site.

Update

November4

If you scroll down to November 2nd you’ll see that the video in the series, Ablazing Grace is posted now. I apologize.

Btw, I see that I put up two “Happy Sabbath” scripture pictures. And…I would have taken one down but they are both good.

I hope you have a doubly good Sabbath.

Update

May26

My friend April, let me know that I skipped #54 of Prophets and Kings.  I told her that I was human and basically that’s proof, lol.

Anyway, it’s up now.

Thanks April.

Update

May12

Number 11 in the series Ablazing Grace is now up. It should have been up yesterday.

I went to see my mother and forgot I hadn’t put it up. For those that don’t know, she’s in a nursing home and has Alzheimer’s. She was experiencing dehydration and was hooked up to an IV. Still is…I think? Dehydrated that is. I went to feed her and make sure she had some fluids. She’s not eating well and it takes some time to make sure she is getting some nutrition. And if you know anything about nursing homes…I’ve been told that they can’t force the patient to eat. Nice huh? So what do they do, let them…starve?

My brother lives five minutes from the nursing home. He is there most days. I talked to him today about what we could do to make sure she is getting something everyday. It’s an awful situation.

Please keep us in your prayer’s.

Update

March25

Good Afternoon, Friends…well it’s been one of those days. Weeks, really.

Yesterday was the last in the series of the audio book: Patriarchs and Prophets.

I will be posting…”shortly” the first chapter for the audio series, “Prophets and Kings”.  Tonight, of course will be the usual fare.

For the person who has left a comment for me…I intend on responding. Of late, I’ve been a little under the weather.

To everyone….Thanks for stopping by.

Sue

Good Morning!

February15

Friends,

I have been having some technical issues since…I think it was Friday? So, if my usual types of posts weren’t on my site. That’s why. All is well.

I will not be posting anything more this morning. I have a doctor’s appointment. Yippee! (sarcasm)  But tomorrow?…it’s back to business.

Update

January14

Friends,

Parts 1 and 2 of the series, the Sunday Law Crisis is under the category by that same name.

I don’t know if this particular video was available at the time that the other two were posted? Probably not.

In any case, I will put up the last three. One a week on Thursdays, starting today.

Sue

Update

January11

Friends,

I had more things to put up today but I’m having trouble with my left eye. It’s extremely irritated for some reason. I guess I’ll be posting what I had intended to post today…tomorrow. Trying to get back into posting stuff in the news on Monday’s.

Sue

Tomorrow…

January3

Friends

A short series will be starting Monday, called “Proven Principles for Good Health”. Six in all. It’s from one of my favorite sites,  Amazing Discoveries.

I know you made some New Years resolutions right? One including health hopefully.

If I remember right…Amazing Discoveries originally was streaming this series live. Unfortunately, I missed it. So, I suppose we’ll both be watching it together. I have no doubt that it will be good because Amazing Discoveries puts out great stuff. In fact, I should mention that most? of the series are on DVD. If you would like to share any of the series with family and friends I suggest you get permanent copies.

So, you can digest the information (pun intended) one will be up each week on Mondays. To your health.

Sue

Merry Christmas!

December25

Friends,

I hope you enjoy the selection of music for today. I have probably haven’t told you before but…picking the music for any given day is one of the hardest parts of posting things. I guess because I have an idea of what I want but finding it is the difficult part.

I must be getting old, but I like the traditional sound of Christmas music. So, if the videos seems a little hodge podgey? (is that a word?) then I suppose they are. I’ll try harder this next Christmas. That is if Christ has not come yet. (I believe he’s coming soon.)

I suggest that you close your eyes and really listen to the words of the music and imagine the wonderful scene’s of Christ’s birth.

May you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas day.

Sue
