I wanted to give you an update on my son, Peter.
He is doing considerably better. From what I gather from my daughter-in-law, he was improving enough to take the tubing out that the doctor’s had placed in him. That was last night and today he is improving even more. I am thankful, that though we are many miles apart that we are able to stay in contact and I know what is going on at any given moment. That is a blessing.
I have said many prayer’s with tears over the last couple of days. I’m not ashamed of that because I love my children (though they are grown) dearly. That never stops.
There are times in life when there is nothing more to done in a situation than prayer. Of course, we should always start with prayer and go boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Wonderful words. I claimed the promises from the Bible. And another of those promises is Romans 8:28 ESV And we know…that for those…who love God…”all things” work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
The last couple of days I have thought of God’s own dear son…that…while we were yet sinner’s Christ died for us. That’s amazing love. I am so thankful to God for his priceless gift.
For those of you who prayed for Peter, I thank you from my heart. Please continue to keep him in your prayer’s for his full recovery. Thank you.
And thank you Lord, for answering and continuing to answer prayer as Peter heals.
The only thing that you have to do is to change the schedule to your time zone to see when the documentary will be playing. I did notice that the schedule can be changed without notice. But I hope that won’t be the case.
Well Friends…I did it again. Ablazing Grace didn’t get posted on Wednesday. It was supposed to be. It’s up now (Nov. 9th, please scroll down to find it).
So, that I will not end up in this same position again…I scheduled the rest of the series this morning. Whew. (It takes a lot of focus to do this.) I guess I could tell you when it will end? Or, maybe not? Just kidding, lol…the third Wednesday of February is the last one of this series.
My biggest problem when I’m scheduling…is listening while I’m scheduling. I get so involved in what I’m hearing it’s difficult to keep scheduling. In any case, for the rest of this series you won’t have to wonder if it will show up on Wednesdays…it will.
I hope you are having a blessed day. It’s a beautiful, chilly November day where I’m at.
Thank you for continuing to come to my site.
Number 11 in the series Ablazing Grace is now up. It should have been up yesterday.
I went to see my mother and forgot I hadn’t put it up. For those that don’t know, she’s in a nursing home and has Alzheimer’s. She was experiencing dehydration and was hooked up to an IV. Still is…I think? Dehydrated that is. I went to feed her and make sure she had some fluids. She’s not eating well and it takes some time to make sure she is getting some nutrition. And if you know anything about nursing homes…I’ve been told that they can’t force the patient to eat. Nice huh? So what do they do, let them…starve?
My brother lives five minutes from the nursing home. He is there most days. I talked to him today about what we could do to make sure she is getting something everyday. It’s an awful situation.
Please keep us in your prayer’s.
Good Afternoon, Friends…well it’s been one of those days. Weeks, really.
Yesterday was the last in the series of the audio book: Patriarchs and Prophets.
I will be posting…”shortly” the first chapter for the audio series, “Prophets and Kings”. Tonight, of course will be the usual fare.
For the person who has left a comment for me…I intend on responding. Of late, I’ve been a little under the weather.
To everyone….Thanks for stopping by.
I have been having some technical issues since…I think it was Friday? So, if my usual types of posts weren’t on my site. That’s why. All is well.
I will not be posting anything more this morning. I have a doctor’s appointment. Yippee! (sarcasm) But tomorrow?…it’s back to business.
Parts 1 and 2 of the series, the Sunday Law Crisis is under the category by that same name.
I don’t know if this particular video was available at the time that the other two were posted? Probably not.
In any case, I will put up the last three. One a week on Thursdays, starting today.
A short series will be starting Monday, called “Proven Principles for Good Health”. Six in all. It’s from one of my favorite sites, Amazing Discoveries.
I know you made some New Years resolutions right? One including health hopefully.
If I remember right…Amazing Discoveries originally was streaming this series live. Unfortunately, I missed it. So, I suppose we’ll both be watching it together. I have no doubt that it will be good because Amazing Discoveries puts out great stuff. In fact, I should mention that most? of the series are on DVD. If you would like to share any of the series with family and friends I suggest you get permanent copies.
So, you can digest the information (pun intended) one will be up each week on Mondays. To your health.
I hope you enjoy the selection of music for today. I have probably haven’t told you before but…picking the music for any given day is one of the hardest parts of posting things. I guess because I have an idea of what I want but finding it is the difficult part.
I must be getting old, but I like the traditional sound of Christmas music. So, if the videos seems a little hodge podgey? (is that a word?) then I suppose they are. I’ll try harder this next Christmas. That is if Christ has not come yet. (I believe he’s coming soon.)
I suggest that you close your eyes and really listen to the words of the music and imagine the wonderful scene’s of Christ’s birth.
May you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas day.
There are only two of the Acts of the Apostles this week. The reason is…is that next week is the last of this audio series. Two more.
These have been an incredible blessing to me. Such encouragement. Sometimes rebuke. But for our own good.
The video Patmos certainly gives encouragement to older Christians. You?/they? are still needed. Certainly the younger people need to be counseled. And encouraged. I’d love to hear their stories of blessing in their lives.
If you know of someone who would like to submit a story to me of the blessings in their life please encourage them to send it to me. I would love to post some of those. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
Not long ago it was my intent to write an article(s) called “Debunking the Debunker’s of Ellen White”. Point by point. And why? because I wanted to stick up for Ellen White’s writings. Sometimes people need defending. And sometimes…enough is just that…Enough! I think that may be called, “zeal”?
I will tell you that it would have been quite an undertaking. Not because it can’t be done easily, but it would be time consuming. And this writing business isn’t always easy. Though mostly…for me it usually is. Did I say mostly? : ) 23 revisions and counting…
At this point in time, I can personally see right through things that are written against this dear woman who was, and remains a prophet of the Lord now. It hasn’t always been that way. And it was quite upsetting. But…I have found that if you scratch the surface of such attacks, the lies will come into view.
A lot of these claim to be ex-Adventist’s. And maybe they are? Who…also state that they had been in the church for a number of years. And some, of course are from other sources.
Do I believe that Ellen White was and is a true prophet of God. Well, as a matter of fact….yes I do. Her writings are as pertinent today as they were when they were written. Some much more so, prophetically speaking.
One day, after I was listening to something Ellen White said, I was thinking “I have to talk to Ellen White”. Then, I was thinking…silly me, you can’t talk to her…she’s dead. That’s how alive…what she said, was to me in that moment. Wow.
When I read or, listen to what she wrote…it’s like the tenderness of a loving mother telling me things about the Lord. That’s how I can best describe it.
I guess I can finally get to why I’m writing this… I found a couple of sermons? that had been already been done on the subject. It’s two parts. I have scheduled one for this week. And one for next week. They don’t cover every aspect of what is being said of course, but a few of the most common attacks.
When I have personally read some things people have “said” that Ellen White wrote, and then, read what she “actually” wrote (in context) it is miles apart. Honestly. If you don’t want to take my word for it…and that’s okay…check it out for yourselves. In fact, I think you should. Oh and I promise, I won’t be offended. Not in the least.
Lastly, we all need to be reminded that the Devil walks around as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Everyone is on his list. Christians?…at the top of the list.
And then, there is this….
1 Peter 1:7 KJV
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ…
