There is hardly anything that reminds me of Christmas more… when I was young, than listening to Perry Como. Of course, I have lots of good memories from that time. But to me, he still has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. (Of course, one day I hope to hear the voice of Jesus, and the heavenly choir.)
To get in the mood for putting up the Christmas tree (it was real) I would put on the Perry Como Christmas Record. I loved it.
Years later I spent some time trying to find the exact copy on CD of the one we had that was a record album. I actually came upon it by chance. I found it in a store in a mall. I don’t remember what the store was called or where the mall was located. I walked in and on the back side of a display, in the front of the store, there it was.
You would have thought I had found gold, I was so happy.
