In Honor of My Mother
My dear mother is eighty years old today, born on this day in 1935.
She has been living in a nursing home for over a year now. She also has Alzheimer’s.
Alzheimer’s is called the long good bye. It’s a heartbreaking disease. Sometimes it’s hard for me to remember the person she once was. I miss her. What I wouldn’t give for just another conversation with her.
So, while you can…love your parent’s and take care of them. You never know what tomorrow will bring.
