I was talking to my son, Matthew the other day and he came across this great site for kids. He was looking for activities to do with his daughter. It’s called diy.org. Do It Yourself.
I bet that has a nice ring for a lot of parents, lol.
You can check out the site without joining by clicking on “skills” (one of the options) at the top of the page. It will take you to several categories. Each category has different “challenges”. The kids do the challenge and post pics or video’s. They earn online badges.
You can also join for a monthly fee which includes “real” patches (how many?). Once your challenge is done and posted you will be sent a patch. Sort of on the order of Boy or Girl Scouts.
I think it is free otherwise if you choose not to join. I believe if you want the “physical” patches you can pay for those separately without the monthly fee.
One thing I forgot to mention is that each child is given a random name for safety reasons. Site generated.They get to choose which one they want from innumerable? choices.
