Permanent Feature of American Life?

Confronting the Surveillance State

From the article:

By Memorial Day weekend, Congress will likely have decided whether the federal government’s mass surveillance programs — exposed first by The New York Times in December 2005 and more broadly by National Security Agency contractor-turned-whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013 — will be partially reined in or will instead become a dominant, permanent feature of American life.

My best guess….the surveillance state will continue and expand.

Somebody must be giddy with all that control?

Comments:

They thought that they had to destroy the Constitution in order to save it.

If Congress does not take bold steps to rein this nonsense in, the America we knew and loved with cease to exist.

Unfortunately, I think this is a “done deal”. I do not foresee the surveillance state being “undone”.
