Ebola Fears Increase Pressure to Restrict Flights from Africa

From the article:

The first case of Ebola diagnosed within the U.S. is prompting calls for heavy travel restrictions between the U.S. and those West African countries hardest hit by the outbreak — and one advocate is even warning against the possibility of “Ebola tourism” by patients seeking better care here.

The smart thing to do, in my opinion, is to restrict the flights right away. Um, like N-O-W. Unless a person’s intent is to cause widespread panic.

Of course, we (the public) hear that anyone that has come into contact with an Ebola victim has to be watched for “21 days”. That’s a pretty long incubation period if you ask me.  But,…what do I know?

I wouldn’t want to be one who has been in contact with an Ebola victim and wait out the 21 days. And what of all the people they had come into contact before they were notified?

As I have mentioned a time or two, I have trust issues, lol.

And what of “Ebola tourism”? If your friends and family are dying around you wouldn’t you want to seek the best care? And it’s obvious that, that care isn’t in the countries that are experiencing the outbreaks. Just saying…
