The Bible Says
Prayer: an address (as a petition) to God or a god in word or thought
Personally, I can tell you..I’m not praying to a “god”, small “g” but…the “God”. The one in the Holy Bible.
When I looked up the word PRAYER, it was in the bottom 50% of lookups. Then again we (uh, me?) should be doing it rather than reading/writing about it, right?
My own definition would be a bit different…after all I talk to God. Not only that I ask him questions. I’ve had things come my way that answered them. That happens a lot. Way too much to be coincidence. Do I thank God when he gives me the answer…in my heart I do. I know where that’s coming from. It makes me smile too.
Btw, the definitions are from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Supplication: to ask humbly and earnestly
Thanksgiving: a prayer expressing gratitude
I wanted to tell you dear, Friends…that I’ve had an answer to my petition set before my Heavenly Father. I can’t explain exactly what it was because it involves someone I know who had a bad situation in their life. It was something I wasn’t supposed to know about. Another person told me in confidence.
It has been resolved. Exactly in the way I prayed for.
The Lord works in mysterious ways. In 2015, he is still in the business of answering prayers.
Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace…. Thank You!
