The Bathroom Issue
Connecticut Woman says She was Harassed in Walmart Bathroom after Customer Mistook her as Transgender
From the article:
Even cisgender people aren’t safe from the transphobic mania over bathrooms.
A Connecticut woman, who sports a pixie haircut, says she was harassed in a Walmart restroom by a woman who apparently mistook her as transgender.
Should I admit I haven’t been following the whole transgender in the bathroom thing that much? Maybe a little here and there.
I didn’t know what a cisgender was. Basically your mind is in agreement with you physical body that you are either a male or female. Yeah, I was born that way. I term it normal. Remember the word normal?
Just about everyday someone comes up with a new word to describe something. The strange thing to me is the definition of Cisgender, courtesy of Wikipedia:
Cisgender (often abbreviated to simply cis) describes related types of gender identity perceptions, where individuals’ experiences of their own gender agree with the sex they were assigned at birth.
Assigned at birth? Really? I was “assigned” way before I was born. And some kind of announcement from a doctor makes it so? I seriously doubt a person needs a degree in gender identity, lol. Gender recognition…maybe? Though I can immediately recognize if a person is man regardless what that person has done to make them look less so.
If a man puts on a dress…he is still a man. If you want to pretend to be something that you aren’t…be my guest. I don’t want to share a bathroom with you.
Actually, I would be good if there was a bathroom for those who are gender-confused. It could just be called the “other” bathroom. And just because the world is confused and confusing doesn’t mean I have to be. Nor, do you.
